Volunteering was something near and dear to Mr. Wadas’ heart. Coaches, team managers, field maintenance, uniform organizers, concession managers, fundraisers and more are vital to an organization. Help us recognize those who are often behind the scenes but are the heart of the organization.

Who can nominate?
Anyone can nominate! Just fill out the application in the link found below.
Who qualifies?
Nominees should be men and women who volunteer with recreational or competitive youth sports organizations supporting children ages 5-18 throughout Oneida and Herkimer Counties. Organizations they volunteer for should be affiliated with schools, non-profits or municipalities. The nominee can fill the role of coach, team manager, field maintenance, uniform coordinator and more.
Nominees should not receive compensation for their work.
A Volunteer of the Year earns:
A $5,000 grant for the organization where he/she volunteers.
