(NEW YORK MILLS, NY March 3, 2025)- The Edwin J. Wadas Foundation, Inc. announces $35,000.00 in funding to the Rome Baseball Association.
DeLutis Field, operated by the Rome Baseball Association, received extensive damage to their fields in the summer of 2024 due to the devastating tornado. The funds received will be used to repair the lighting system on the fields allowing for extended playing time. The facility is home to four fields which hosts the Rome City School District team, Little League, American Legion teams and several summer travel teams.
“It has been a long and challenging road repairing the facility after the tornado that hit last July. This grant will now allow us to move forward with serving our community and its youth” stated Jeff DeLutis, Rome Baseball Association.
“We are proud to support the restoration of DeLutis Field allowing kids from across the area to have access to a quality baseball complex for the upcoming season.” stated Victoria Cataldo, Executive Director.
